Abbiamo iniziato ieri con la nuova versione di Simenon-Simenon e oggi già siamo alla famosa data di San Valentino, il patrono degli innamorati. Quale miglior modo di celebrarlo e fare gli auguri, ricordando un Maigret, non ancora commissario, e un'allora mademoiselle Louise Léonard, non ancora M.me Maigret, ma al tempo ancora tutti e due giovani e immamorati?
La scena avviene tre mesi dopo che i due si sono conosciuti. Jules allora era segretario del commissario di polizia di Saint-Georges. Qualche tempo dopo diventa agente in uniforme. Era allora un agente magro, che faceva la ronda in bicicletta. Un periodo felice cui il commissario ripensa talvolta durante la sua carriera.
Quanto a M.me Maigret si ricorda bene di quel giorno.
"Erano tre mesi che ci conoscevamo. La settimana prima mi avevi baciato sul pianerottolo e poi mi hai baciato ogni sera nello stesso luogo. Un martedì mi portasti all'Opéra-Comique dove davano la Carmen. Io portavo un vestito di taffetà blu. Potrei dirti addirittura quale profumo avevo messo. Andando a prendere il taxi non mi tenevi, mi porgesti la mano solo per aiutarmi a salire nella vettura. Dopo lo spettacolo, mi hai domandato se non avessi fame. Ci siamo così avviati verso i Grands Boulevards dove c'era la "Taverne Pousset", che oggi è ancora lì. Ho fatto sembrare che stessi per inciampare, a causa dei miei tacchi alti, e ho poggiato la mia mano sul tuo braccio. La mia audacia, mi impressionò talmente che tremavo tutta e tu avesti la buona idea di far finta di nonn accorgerti di nulla. E, lasciando il ristorante ho rifatto lo stesso gesto, il medesimo che da allora faccio ancora oggi. (Les scrupules de

Maigret e M.me Maigret ripensano a quel momento con un misto di emozione e di tenerezza, come d'altronde tutti noi pensiamo con nostalgia alla nostra giovinezza e ai giorni in cui eravamo innamorati

LES DEUX CELEBRES AMOUREUX DE SIMENON FONT DES VOEUX A TOUS LES AMOUREUX
14/02/2016 - Hier
a été inaugurée la nouvelle version de Simenon-Simenon et aujourd'hui,
nous voici au 14 février, date de la Saint-Valentin, le saint patron des
amoureux. Alors, quelle meilleure façon y aurait-il de la célébrer, si
ce n'est d'évoquer un certain Jules Maigret, pas encore promu
commissaire, et une certaine mademoiselle Louise Léonard, pas encore Mme
Maigret, tous les deux à la fois jeunes et amoureux…?
La scène
se passe trois mois après que Jules ait fait la connaissance de Louise.
Jules est alors secrétaire du commissaire de police du quartier
Saint-Georges. Quelque temps plus tôt, il fonctionnait encore comme
agent en uniforme. Il était alors un jeune agent maigre, qui
patrouillait à vélo. Un moment heureux auquel le commissaire repensera
parfois au cours de sa carrière.
Quant à Mme Maigret, elle se souvient de ce jour-là:
"Il
y avait trois mois que nous nous connaissions. La semaine précédente,
tu m'avais embrassée, sur le palier, et, depuis, tu m'embrassais chaque
soir au même endroit. Un mardi, tu m'as emmenée à l'Opéra-Comique, où on
jouait Carmen, et je portais une robe en taffetas bleu. Je pourrais te
dire quel parfum j'avais employé. En allant jusqu'au taxi, tu ne me
tenais pas, et tu m'as seulement tendu la main pour m'aider à monter en
voiture. Après le théâtre, tu m'as demandé si je n'avais pas faim. Nous
nous sommes dirigés vers les Grands Boulevards, où la Taverne Pousset
existait encore. J'ai fait semblant de buter à cause de mes hauts talons
et j'ai posé la main sur ton bras. Mon audace m'impressionnait
tellement que j'en tremblais et, toi, tu as eu la bonne idée de faire
semblant de ne t'apercevoir de rien. En quittant le restaurant, j'ai
fait le même geste et je fais le même depuis lors." (

Maigret et Mme Maigret pensent à ce
moment-là avec un mélange d'émotion et de tendresse. Comme d'ailleurs
nous pensons tous avec nostalgie à notre jeunesse, et aux jours où nous
sommes tombés amoureux...
Eh bien ... nous adressons nos meilleurs voeux à tous les jeunes amoureux ... et aux moins jeunes ! (

SIMENON’S TWO FAMOUS LOVERS SEND HOLIDAY WISHES TO ALL LOVERS.

Yesterday
was inaugural day for the new version of Simenon-Simenon, and today is
Valentine’s Day for the patron saint of lovers.
So, what
better way to celebrate it if not to bring to mind a particular Jules
Maigret, not yet elevated to inspector, and a particular Miss Louise
Léonard, not yet elevated to Madame Maigret, both of them at once young
and in love…?
The action takes place three months after
Jules met Louise. Jules was secretary to the police inspector for the
Saint-Georges quarter at the time. Just a little before, he was still
working in uniform, a thin young policeman patrolling on a bicycle.
Chief Inspector Maigret will recall this happy time off and on
throughout his career.
As for Madame Maigret, she well
remembers that day: “We had known each other for three months. The week
before, you kissed me on the landing and, from then on, you kissed me on
the same spot every night. One Tuesday, you took me to the
Opéra-Comique, where Carmen was playing. I was wearing a blue taffeta
dress and I can even tell you which perfume I used. You didn’t hold on
to me on the way to the taxi and only offered your hand in helping me
into it. After the show, you asked me if I was hungry. We found our way
to the Grands Boulevards where the Taverne Pousset was still standing.
Pretending to trip because of my high heels, I put my hand on your arm.
My boldness affected me so much I was trembling, but you had the bright
idea of pretending not to notice anything. I repeated the ploy upon
leaving the restaurant and since then continue to do the same.” (Maigret

Maigret and Madame Maigret
think about that time with a mixture of emotion and tenderness.
Similarly, we all think with nostalgia about our youth and the days when
we fell in love…
