SIMENON SIMENON COMPIE DIECI ANNI !

Ebbene, che la festa abbia inizio. Partono i festeggiamenti per i dieci anni di vita di Simenon-Simenon. Iniziato quasi per scommessa nel novembre del 2010 questa mia passione per il grande romanziere francese è alla fine diventato un lavoro vero e proprio. Già, all’inizio mi davamo del matto: “vuoi far un blog 'quotidiano' (!) su un singolo autore?”. Ma avevo il mio asso nella manica: uno scrittore con all’attivo quattrocento titoli, con una vita in cui ha combinato tante di quelle cose che ci vorrebbero almeno quattro esistenze di persone normali per eguagliarle. Una personalità così complessa che ha raccontarla non basterebbe un libro. Una persona con quattro vite in Belgio, in Francia, negli Usa e in Svizzera, che ha abitato trentuno case che, a suo dire, ha avuto diecimila donne…. Beh ero sicuro che avrei avuto da scrivere ogni giorno.

E così è stato per cinque anni, durante i quali sono piano piano arrivati dei collaboratori, appassionati e studiosi di Simenon, da tutte le parti del mondo, dall’Italia da vari paesi dell’Europa, fin dall’America… e poi autori di libri sul romanziere o sul suo più famoso personaggio Maigret. Dopo cinque anni tutti d’un fiato, e una breve pausa, Simenon-Simenon ricominciò nel 2016 con dei collaboratori fissi, con me sempre al timone, ma con l’arrivo di una preziosissima responsabile organizzativa della redazione, Murielle Wenger (grande specialista di Maigret e di Simenon), la quale crescerà sempre più, fino a diventare una vera condirettrice del blog, e grazie a lei iniziammo a pubblicare post in tre lingue: francese, italiano e inglese.

Vorremmo raccontare tante cose, ma ci limitiamo a ricordare i nostri record di visite (oltre 100.000 visitatori), la richiesta del figlio di Simenon, John, che ci chiese di inserire il nostro blog nel sito ufficiale dello scrittore. La rivista scientifico-letteraria “Francofonia” che in un suo numero speciale ha dedicato un saggio alla nostra impresa digitale su Simenon.

Insomma come dicevamo ha acquisito l’organizzazione e la mole di lavoro di un vero mezzo di informazione, e che dopo dieci anni ha pubblicato una quantità di news su Simenon, le sue opere e la sua vita, come crediamo ben pochi abbiano fatto e nessuno con le nostre modalità e il nostro ritmo.

Festeggiamo ovviamente insieme a voi lettori, visitatori, fans di Simenon-Simenon che siete stati la vera linfa vitale di questa impresa, come innumerevoli volte ci avete testimoniato anche con commenti, riflessioni, spunti e anche con delle critiche.

Da adesso dedicheremo un bel po’ di tempo a questo festeggiamento e invitiamo tutti a partecipare… e non saremo pochi!

SIMENON SIMENON CÉLÈBRE DIX ANS !

Eh bien, que la fête commence ! La semaine prochaine vont débuter les célébrations pour les dix ans d'existence de Simenon-Simenon. Ce blog avait démarré presque comme un défi en novembre 2010, pour donner vie à ma passion pour le grand romancier belge, et à la fin c'est devenu un véritable travail. Au départ, on me prenait pour un fou : « tu veux faire un blog quotidien (!) sur un seul auteur ? » Mais j'avais un atout dans ma manche : un écrivain avec à son actif 400 romans, une vie dans laquelle il a expérimenté tant de choses qu'il faudrait au moins quatre existences d'une personne normale pour l'égaler. Une personnalité si complexe qu'un livre ne suffirait pas pour la raconter. Une personne avec quatre vies, en Belgique, en France, aux USA et en Suisse, qui a vécu dans trente-trois maisons, et qui, selon ses propres dires, a connu dix mille femmes… Alors, j'étais assuré de pouvoir écrire chaque jour quelque chose sur lui.

Il en a été ainsi pendant cinq ans, durant lesquels sont arrivés peu à peu des collaborateurs, des passionnés et des spécialistes de Simenon, de toutes les parties du monde, de l'Italie à divers pays d'Europe, et jusqu'en Amérique… et puis des auteurs de livres sur le romancier et sur son plus fameux personnage, Maigret. Après cinq ans d'une seule haleine, et une brève pause, Simenon-Simenon a recommencé en 2016 avec des collaborateurs fixes, et toujours avec moi à la barre, mais avec l'arrivée d'une très précieuse responsable organisationnelle de la rédaction, Murielle Wenger (grande spécialiste de Maigret et de Simenon), dont le rôle s'est développé de plus en plus, jusqu'à devenir une véritable codirectrice du blog, et grâce à elle nous avons commencé à publier des billets en trois langues, français, italien et anglais.

Nous aimerions raconter tant de choses, mais nous nous limiterons à rappeler notre record de nombres de visites (plus de 100'000 visiteurs), la demande de John Simenon, qui nous proposait d'insérer notre blog sur le site officiel du romancier. La revue scientifico-littéraire Francofonia qui, dans un numéro spécial, a consacré un espace pour un essai sur notre entreprise numérique liée à Simenon.

En conclusion, comme nous le disions, notre blog a acquis l'organisation et la charge de travail d'un véritable support d'information, qui après dix ans a publié une quantité de nouvelles sur Simenon, son œuvre et sa vie, comme, croyons-nous, bien peu l'ont fait et personne à notre façon et à notre rythme.

Nous allons fêter l'événement évidemment avec vous, lecteurs, visiteurs, fans de Simenon-Simenon, qui avez été le véritable élément vital de cette entreprise, comme vous nous l'avez témoigné à d'innombrables reprises, avec vos commentaires, vos réflexions, vos idées et aussi vos critiques.

Dès lundi prochain, nous dédierons une longue période à ces célébrations et nous vous invitons tous à participer… et nous serons nombreux !

SIMENON SIMENON CELEBRATES TEN YEARS !

Well, let the festivities begin! Celebrations for the tenth anniversary of Simenon-Simenon will begin next week. This blog started almost as a challenge in November 2010, when I wanted to give life to my passion for the great Belgian novelist, and at the end it had become a real job. At first, I was taken for a fool: «you want to make a daily blog about a single author?» Yet I had my trump card: a writer with 400 novels to his credit, a lifetime during which he had experimented so many things that it would take at least four lives of normal people to match them. A so complex personality that one book would not be enough to tell it. A person with four lives, in Belgium, in France, in the USA and in Switzerland, who lived in thirty-three houses and who, according to him, knew ten thousand women... Thus, I was sure I would have to write every day.

It had been so for five years, during which collaborators gradually arrived, enthusiasts and scholars of Simenon, from everywhere in the world, from Italy to various countries in Europe, and as far as America... and then authors of books about the novelist and about his most famous character, Maigret. After five years all in one go, and a short break, Simenon-Simenon restarted in 2016 with permanent collaborators, and still with me at the helm, but with the arrival of a very precious organizational manager of the editorial staff, Murielle Wenger (great specialist of Maigret and Simenon), whose role developed more and more, until becoming a true co-director of the blog, and thanks to her we could begin to publish posts in three languages, French, Italian and English.

We would like to tell so many things, but we will only recall our record of number of visits (more than 100,000 visitors), and John Simenon's request, who proposed to insert our blog on the official site about the novelist. The scientific-literary review Francofonia which, in a special issue, devoted a space for an essay on our digital enterprise linked to Simenon.

In conclusion, as we said above, our blog has acquired the organization and the workload of a true information support, that after ten years has published a quantity of news about Simenon, his works ans his life, like, we believe, very few have done it and no one in our own way and at our pace.

Of course we are going to celebrate the event with you, readers, visitors, fans of Simenon-Simenon, who have been the real lifeblood of this enterprise, as you have testified to us countless times, with your comments, your thoughts, your ideas and also your criticisms.

Starting next Monday, we will dedicate a long time to these celebrations and we invite all of you to participate ... and we will not be few!
