En 1961, c'est au tour de Bernard de Fallois de proposer son étude du romancier. Dans son ouvrage Simenon, il ne peut manquer de s'y trouver un long passage consacré à Maigret. Il y aurait beaucoup d'extraits à citer, et nous avons dû faire un choix pour respecter les conventions de longueur de cette rubrique.

In 1961 Bernard de Fallois proposed his study about the novelist. In his book Simenon, there is of course a big part devoted to Maigret. We could quote many extracts, but we had to make a choice so to respect the length conventions of this column.
